My Japanese Trail

My friend Yi Jing and I attentively listening to class! Taken by another friend of mine. Taniguchi sensei occasionally likes to test us on calender day and date. I feel that this constant tests would help us in the future! Thanks sensei! That's me on the right by the way...

Here's Taniguchi sensei showing us some emotions. She is an lovable teacher who would go the extra mile to explain more about something, even to the extend of role playing with us!

Learning about full and empty in Japanese. Taniguchi sensei draws these herself! That's another reason why she's so awesome, she definitely goes the extra mile for us!

My friends and i hard at work! I enjoy working with my friends and occasionally role playing with them as well. It's great learning an entirely new language with friends!

This is another picture of me revising some notes during the break. (Note, 'yasumi' is break time in Japanese)
Japanese class is held at night, it can get pretty cold sometimes, that's why i bring my jacket every thursday!

Taniguchi sensei and me!

'Natsumatsuri' or 'Summer Festival' I went there with 3 other friends from my Japanese class. We had a fun time there, i bought a few figurines at really good prices. There were lots of Japanese food, traditional toys on sale. It really gave me an insight to Japan.

Some of my figurines in my collection, the 3 characters wearing the 'yukata' were bought from 'natsumatsuri'.

The main purpose of going to 'natsumatsuri' was the help out with the clean up at the end of the day. It was worth it because we got free lunch :p

Night time at the festival grounds.

Our concert bands for the the Hatsune Miku concert here in Singapore! Im a closet 'otaku' and i really love animes and animated characters. I went to this particular concert with my classmate. It was really cool to watch a Miku concert outside of Japan (it doesn't happen often as most concerts are within Japan, so if you missed it, you'd probably have to travel to Japan to watch).

I really had a fun time doing all things Japanese. I hope will be able to make friends with a local from Japan and perhaps communicate with them in the future.

Thanks for reading
